7. [Father of Schnepke] LÜERS . This is a preliminary database. It was provided in 1987-8 by the daughter of Henry W. Luhrs (b. 1892) , with additional data found at the church of Syke, Germany by family members of the website maintainer. The family involved in not at present a contributor to this project.
Schnepke is a small village about 22 km WSW of Verden and about 8 km E of Syke (spelled Sycke in 1832). Both Verden and Sycke are shown on the 1832 map.
